"The Star USA collection is a look that is a little disheveled," Varvatos told FWD. "We put wires in the lapels of the jackets to make them look imperfect." That type of detailing paired with the skinny jeans, skinny ties, and the vintage flag print enforced the influence of punk, while the expert tailoring of suits and hand-stitched leather loafers didn't neglect the preppy feeling Varvatos wanted to merge in.
